Popular Seasonal Fast Fashion Trends

Fashion is fast. From what is in to what is out, fashion comes and goes in an instant. Each season has its own trends and they must be attacked the moment they come out because if you show up too late in the game, you’ll find that you are behind the times the moment you buy the latest hot item. Here is a look at some trends that come and go.

Boots

Yes, boots are a timeless classic but they have a very distinct fall appeal. The rustic leather boots really do a lot for your personal flavor but they have to be pounced on the moment they are in fashion because if not, the look goes out quickly and moves on to furry boots for the winter.

Neon Tops

Halloween costumes aren’t the only time you can wear neon tops. Now, they might seem like all summer items, since they don’t work when the temperature is relatively cool. The best thing you can do for your top is to wear it in the later weeks in July or early August, as that is when the neon top will really pop and get you noticed.

Crocs

Unless you are in an industry that involves you being on your feet all day, crocs are really only appropriate in the summer months. You can wear them in private in the winter, but they should be avoided otherwise.

These are just some fast fashion trends depending on the season. Make sure you try these out and you’ll stand out as someone with great fashion sense.

Shop ‘Til You Drop, with Low Prices

If you routinely go on benders, it’s pretty easy to find yourself passing out and waking up in strange places. In some cases, you have no memory of getting yourself there in the first place. If you happen to wake up with shopping bags in your hands, you may be the type of person who shops until you drop. While this can be painful, it can also be a great way to find a deal.

Naturally, where you shop has a lot to do with how great your deals are. If you just go to local places, you’ll probably find okay deals. But if you go to sites such as Offers.com, you’ll open yourself up to a slew of great shopping possibilities that aren’t limited by where you live. The lower the prices are, the more you can buy. You’ll have even more money as you shop til you drop.

Of course, you don’t have to shop until you physically collapse on the keyboard. Wise shoppers know that when you’re fresh and alert, you can more easily spot the great deals and act on them efficiently. When you use some strategy, you can get a lot more done in less time. So don’t take “shop ’til you drop” too literally, as you might otherwise find yourself with keyboard-shaped bruises that are terribly hard to explain. Of course, it’s hard to blame you if you’re so excited about great deals that you forget to sleep.

Maximize Your Dollar, and Fun, While Shopping!

The ultimate bargain shopping spree can land you and your pals some super cool items. If you’ve never had a full day of bargain shopping, you may not be aware of what you’re missing. Here’s the run through on how to maximize your day’s experience for the minimum dollar amount.

Entice some friends to come along. Bargain shopping is fine on your own, but it can be real fun with several pals along to add to the humorous finds and give you input on what looks good.

Plan in advance. Figure out a solid half dozen thrift shops, consignment shops, or deeply discounted retailers to visit through ‘spree day.’ Map them out so you’re visiting them in an easy to follow order.

Look for bargains, but don’t buy everything that grabs your eye. If you’re not perfectly sure about the utility of an item in your life, leave it. You can always return, which leads to the next concept!

Things, be they a pair of outdoor pants or household products, or even a set of shelves or stereo speakers, always look one way when they’re new-to-you. Ever notice that you buy something that looks great at the store, then get home and find that it’s not what you really wanted? This happens to everyone. To avoid shopper’s remorse, leave items that appeal to you, but that you’re on the fence about. Your mind will gravitate back towards your favorite one or two items throughout the day as you see other items for sale. You can then retrace your steps, and return to buy those select items.

Landing Your Fashions at Your Price

There are about as many ways to save a few dollars on current clothing fashions as there are fish in the sea. A little ingenuity can make those jeans from Forever 21 drop in price, if you’re willing to be patient or apply a little thinking to the situation. If, like most people, your budget is limited, especially during this period of economic uncertainty, saving money is the newest fashion anyway. If you must have the latest fashions or else fear that you’ll end up in the wallflower category at all the coming parties, it’s time to get clever. That way, you’ll end up wearing what you want to be seen in, but at a better price than you might otherwise pay.

The most direct way to get into the clothes of your choice at a better price is to figure out exactly what you want to buy. Note the price. Note the date as well. Then, approach the store manager.  Inquire directly about when he or she anticipates having a store-wide, or select merchandise clearance sale.

With fashion clothes being entirely seasonal – and there being four seasons each and every year – inventory must constantly be pushed along. It often takes a sale to get it moving as fast as the store wishes. Be patient, and know that if the store you’ve visited sells out of the item (in your size) that you’ve had your eye on, another location will likely have it. Just make sure to visit as close to the start of the sale as possible to ensure the broadest selection.

A Clothing Fabric that is Making Headway

Full wool Merino sheep.

Merino wool is making headway as the go-to fabric for people who exercise. Unlike traditional wool, it is capable of being woven into a very thin layer, which makes it more ideal for thin summer tee shirts and the like. Where regular wool, with its itchy sensation and thick, sweater weave was very good for keeping warm in the coldest months, merino wool has proven itself to be excellent in all seasons. But there is more to this fabric than its ability to be woven very thinly. Other advantages make it likely that it will continue to be adopted at a rapid pace, displacing synthetics, which have had a long history in their own right.

Synthetics came about decades ago. Typically made from oil-based products and other non-sustainable substances, they were latched onto by athletes who loved their sweat wicking properties. In this performance function, sweat emitted by a hot body continues right through the synthetic, evaporating very quickly. Compared to cotton, synthetics seem to dry almost instantaneously, since cotton takes on a lot more water for the same amount of material. By absorbing less sweat, the synthetic kept an athlete from being forced to be wet for a very long time.

People came to enjoy the fast wicking property of synthetics, but wondered about the smell. When one sweats inside a polyester shirt, it stinks pretty badly within several minutes. And here, merino wool wins hands down in comparison. It is anti-microbial, which means that germs can’t proliferate. Merino wool is popular partly because it dries very quickly, but also because it doesn’t smell bad following exercise.
